Niseko Golf Season Tees Off!
The wider Niseko area boasts a variety of golf courses with stunning forest and mountain backdrops.
One of the major drawcards of Hokkaido is the ability to play golf on a different course each day without travelling very far. This spacious island is dotted with 170 green resorts – more than any other prefecture in Japan!
Golf courses will open between April and June and usually see the summer season right through until late September or even October. Even in July and August daily temperatures are mild and you can play a round comfortably. Long daylight hours mean you can tee-off in the afternoon and still have plenty of time to finish up the back nine before sunset.
AYA Niseko is located within convenient driving distance of several high quality courses.
Niseko Village Golf Course
Open: June 1st to October 10th 2021
Green Fees: 7,500 JPY to 12,000 JPY (discounts for seniors, ladies and groups are available)
This course is located a short 10 minute drive from AYA Niseko with beautiful forests and a pond surrounding the super-long and mostly flat fairway. Niseko Village was named one of the top 5 golf courses in Japan in 2019.

HANAZONO GOLF
Open: May 1st to November 3rd 2021
Green Fees: 7,040 JPY to 12,300 JPY (discounts for members and juniors available)
Enjoy a game through changing elevation and terrain with views of Mt Yotei and the Annupuri mountain range. Hanazono is located just 15 minutes drive from AYA Niseko and is surrounded by a thick birch forest with a springwater creek running through. Rental clubs, club sets, and golf shoes are also available.

Niseko Golf Course
Open: April 24th to November 7th 2021 (open Saturdays and holidays only between 6/1 – 10/10)
Green Fees: 6,500 JPY to 8,500 JPY (discounts for seniors, ladies, juniors, and groups are available)
Designed by golf legend Arnold Palmer, this course of 6,805 yards runs between a pine forest, and birch forest lined with bunkers and ponds. Niseko Golf Course is located just outside Niseko town, around 30 minutes driving from AYA Niseko.

Date Country Club
Open: March 27th to November 23rd 2021
Green Fees: 6,600 JPY to 16,100 JPY (options to include caddies, off-season discounts available)
A little further afield, just over an hour’s drive away is the Date Country Club overlooking Mt Usu and Lake Toya. Due to the mild weather, this course famously sees the longest opening period in Hokkaido. Early morning tee-off and twilight play are available.
